1. Contact

So Niya knows where to send your plan.

2. About you

Helps Niya tailor your plan to your skin's stage of life.

Required for clinical accuracy. Hormonal factors — whether endogenous (PCOS, congenital adrenal conditions, perimenopause) or therapeutic (hormone therapy, fertility treatment, menopausal HRT, GLP-1 medications) — materially change how skin responds, often causing breakouts, hair-growth changes, and altered product tolerance. Select Intersex / hormonally variable if any of these apply so Niya can tailor your plan accurately.

3. Your skin concerns

Check all that apply. Niya will prioritize the ones you flag as most important.

4. Your current routine

Be honest. There are no wrong answers — this just helps Niya avoid double-recommending things you already use.

5. Brief health questions

Required so Niya can flag any safety concerns. Your information stays private.

Pets & Household Exposures

Stubborn rashes, ringworm-looking patches, scalp irritation, and recurring breakouts on the face/arms/torso can come from animals in the home — both their dander and infections they pick up outside (ringworm, scabies, mange, fleas). Most dermatologists never ask. We do.

6. Submit your skin: scan or upload *

Choose how you’d like to give Niya 1–3 clear images of the area you want reviewed. Either method works — pick what’s easiest for you.

Step 6A · Choose your method
Live Scan RECOMMENDED

Use your camera. SkinScan walks you through 3 angles in about 30 seconds with real-time framing guidance. Save the resulting image, then return here and attach it below.

Start Live Scan →
Upload Close-Up Photos

Already have clear close-up photos? Tap to attach up to 3 images from your camera roll. Niya reviews them the same way she reviews scan results.

Either method gives Niya what she needs. The live scan typically produces better results for first-time users because it guides framing in real time.

Photo Quality Guarantee: If your photo isn't clear enough for Niya to review, she'll email you within 24 hours with instructions to retake — completely free. No bad photo = wasted money. We've got you.

Accepted: JPG or PNG · up to 3 images · 10 MB each · minimum 600×600 pixels

Image quality tips (apply to scan and upload):
  • Lighting — required: Stand near a window in natural daylight during midday. Face the window (light on you, not behind you). Avoid yellow indoor bulbs, fluorescent office lighting, and mixed light — these systematically distort skin tone at capture time, especially for medium and dark skin (peer-reviewed evidence: Han & Kwak 2026).
  • Include a plain white reference: hold a piece of plain white printer paper next to (not covering) the area you're scanning. This lets Niya's system correct for your phone's automatic color adjustments — the single highest-impact thing you can do for accuracy.
  • Turn OFF phone beautification: before scanning, disable HDR, Portrait mode, filters, "beauty" mode, skin smoothing, and Night mode. Some phones apply these by default without telling you. Your live camera should show your actual skin, not a filtered version.
  • Clean & dry the area first: no makeup, lotions, oils, sunscreen, or masks — we want to see your skin as it actually is.
  • Angles (this is where the multi-image tier shines): one straight-on shot of the full area, plus close-ups of any spots, marks, or zones you specifically want reviewed.
  • Distance: close enough that the area fills the frame, but not so close the camera can't focus. About arm's length is ideal.
  • Focus: tap the screen on the exact spot you want reviewed before taking the photo. Your phone will sharpen on that point.
  • Hold steady: blurry photos from movement are the #1 cause of retakes. Brace your elbow against your body or a surface.
  • Modesty: only show what's needed. For body areas, crop or frame to share what's relevant while keeping anything else out of the shot.
✓ Image Quality Confirmation

Before submitting, please confirm each of these about your image(s) — whether they came from your live scan or your camera roll. This helps Niya give you the best review on the first try.
